Young Mills aka Mdotdadocta born on New Year’s Day 1985 in Brooklyn, NY, home of the greatest rappers in the world. Mills born into a Haitian family was always listening to instruments and keen to music growing up. His parents had in their mind Mills would be and engineer or a doctor, but Mills on the other hand had his own dreams of being a rapper.
At a young age this social butterfly deemed himself class clown because of all the attention he would get joking with his classmates, then it hit him instead of jokes, he could start rhyming for them and those classmates became his first audience.
Mills was known for his raw lyrics and melodic tone. It was Mills older cousin who would introduce him to his first love, a recording studio. Once Mills started recording, he took his music more than serious.
In 2013 Mills dropped his first single “Trappin” which did well locally in his now home of Boston. Following that success, he later released “God’s Cathedral” which was featured on YouTube. Since then, Mills has toured across the Nation performing at major events including CIAA and SXSW. In 2018, Mills’ career went on a hiatus after his grandfather became ill. He took some time off to support his family.
In 2020, Mills is back at it and has an April release date for his newest project, “Agent Double O Dollars Your Girl Is Not Enough,“ with first released single off the project, “Bag Boy,” already streaming on Apple Music. “Bag Boy” is also in rotation on NY’s #1 Hip Hop Radio Station, Power 1051 FM and also iHeart Radio. Mills is looking forward to continue performing and touring, “The road to success isn’t easy but the ride is fun”.
