New Jersey Artist, WorldIsGualaa just dropped a new single “5 AM in Miami”. The single is a little more light-hearted than his last single, ‘Eye 4 Eye’, which had a deeper meaning about people WorldIsGualaa has lost. The new single is a vibe and is easy to bop to. It tells the story of a guy stuck between picking two girls, trapped in a love triangle.

Knowing that WorldIsGualaa only writes how he feels in the moment and uses music to express himself, I can only think this story is personal. Which is exactly what he was trying to do. WorldIsGualaa wants to make real and relatable music that still thumps and he’s on the right page.

To introduce himself more, we asked him some questions about who he is and how he got to where he is. Here is how he responded.

HHW: What is your artist name? What does it mean or represent ?

WorldIsGualaa: To be honest Worldisgualaa has two meanings that I combined and put together. World is the foundation, the team, the brotherhood and Gualaa is who I am today, a person who loves to hustle and take care of business to help the family elevate.

HHW: Where are you from ?

WorldIsGualaaI am from South Jersey, I was born in Trenton, New Jersey but raised in Willingboro, New Jersey. I spent half of my childhood in Trenton on West Handover in west Trenton. If you do your research Trenton ain’t one of the safes place to live but, if you do live there you gotta make the best out of it like anywhere else. As a young child I seen a lot of things that a normal 8-10 year old don’t see like crimes, violence, drugs, etc, but it definitely helped me to grow up faster and sharpen up my mental but, once I turned 10 I moved to Willingboro.

HHW: Why is music important to you ?

WorldIsGualaaArt is important to our society because we see art everywhere we go, life is art, humans could be labeled as art, music is a form of art, art can tell history that people on todays earth don’t know about, so I think art is huge for the culture.

My music means everything to me, it is my sanity, my hide out when I am in the studio. I use to play basketball in college and it is like being in the gym, if you don’t love being in the gym to better your game you shouldn’t be doing it and I love my music and when it means something to others it just gives a different type of joy.

HHW: What motivates you?

WorldIsGualaa: The things that motivate me to create is my feelings, my past situations, where I am from, my struggles, love or I could just be in the studio and hear a beat I like and go off the vibe of the beat.

HHW: What is your style?

WorldIsGualaa: My style changed heavily, if you go to my old music from 2020 it’s way different from “5am In Miami”. I just dropped “5am In Miami” and it feels like I found a new me and it is a dope record, the video is even more exquisite, and you could find it on Worlduntiedtv YouTube and all platforms under Worldisgualaa.

HHW: When did you start to get serious about music?

WorldIsGualaa: My brother passed away from a car accident from coming home from work, it is deep for me because that is someone I loved dearly and saw everyday and for me not to see my brother was hard for me and my family, things drastically changed a lot but as a family we manage to stay balanced and try to better ourselves every day. I was the middle child, so I had to step up my position for my mother. I also lost my best friend “WallGzz aka GhostGzz” that was like my real brother, same mother different dad type vibe for us. He pasted away from an car accident too, that changed my life instantly just because when you saw me you saw him and vice versa. When I lost “WallGzz” I started looking at life more differently and getting serious in what I want to do with my life and I found music a few years later. Just by losing them it inspired me just to be a better man and hold down the family it also brings more passion and pain to my music.

HHW: How has it been becoming an artist?

WorldIsGualaaBecoming an artist has its ups and downs just because you never know who wants to help you get in the position that you want to get in or if their just here for the money and looks, you gotta know the differences between who genuine and who is not but always remember a clown has two faces. I feel like the business is more important then the music because you are the band, you and your team represent you. Yes, the music is important because it has to be good but if you’re not investing into yourself or making these genuine connections then you are going be stressed out for your whole career. Also, you have to know where your money is coming out of and where your money is coming into.

HHW: Is there anything you would love to do as an artist?

WorldIsGualaaI would love to tour and go to all HBCU schools to just give back and show the newer generation who Worldisgualaa is and bring the vibe.

HHW: What’s one thing you want fans/supporters to remember about you?

WorldIsGualaaIf my supporters could remember one thing about me, I would want them to remember the vibe and energy my music brings behind it.

HHW: Anything else you want to add?

WorldIsGualaaYou never know what God has in store for you but for now all Worldisgualaa.
