As a kid growing up in a small town in Germany, Dominik Kadoniya Kelly always knew that he wanted to make music. What he didn’t realize at the time was how important using music to motivate others would become to him. But what started as a spark of inspiration one day from a television commercial has grown into one of the most promising young careers as a philanthropic artist that the world has seen in recent years.

Operating under the stage name MarkleyIBe, this up-and-coming international artist is using his natural talents for entertaining to bring light and joy to the world. As a person who has always turned to music to get him through the hardships of life, MarleyIBe is paying that gift forward to others in hopes of enriching as many lives as possible.

“I just want to help people and bring some type of value to people’s lives,” he said. “And hopefully I’ll be able to expand that and go even beyond music and broaden my horizons.”

Though the native of Germany has become known for his poetry and spoken word performances, it’s his new album “Bone” that has been creating quite a buzz among music industry insiders and fans alike. MarleyIBe has gained a reputation on Twitter, in particular, for his “Bittersweet Tuesdays” – beautifully crafted poems with intricate wordplay that allows himself to be vulnerable and builds an intimate connection with his viewers. But with this new album he steps onto the music scene with a much different tone, ready to give another look into his world.

“I really want to make music for everybody to listen to,” he said. “I know people have different tastes, and I want to make something everybody can like. This project is much different from most of my music that I’ve released before, and none of the upcoming projects I have scheduled for next year sounds similar to anything I’ve done so far. Hopefully by doing that I have something in my repertoire that other people will love.”

That deft display of diversity is show with masterful skill on the debut single from the project. “SKRT” is a fun song with witty lyrics and a catchy hook that’s set against deep basslines. It’s a song that draws people in and weaves a story with a chant-like rhythm. Overall the song has a fun vibe that has been connecting with a wide audience, and which sets the stage for the rest of the project.

Also featured on the album is “Action Figure,” which is more of a freestyle rap that shows off his ability as a poet and wordship. The song doesn’t have a chorus, but instead showcases his lyrical ability as he raps straight through from start to finish. The project also features “Uber Come Getter,” which he said is the most fun song on the album.

“Every time I hear it, it makes me feel good,” he said. “However the beat makes me feel is what I come up with, and with this one I just let one bar flow into the next. I like for all of my songs to connect and lead into the next part of the song or the album, and this song goes into that very well. Growing up I lived in a small town in Germany, then we moved to California when I was 3, and then back to Germany when I was 6, and then back to the U.S. when I was 11. A lot of that experience is where I get my taste for different music. It’s why I’m always trying to expand and create different sounds. In a big way, ‘Bone’ is a good indication of the trajectory that my career is going to head.”

“Bone” is currently available across all streaming platforms. To listen to MarleyIBe’s music, or to follow him on social media, please visit the following links:
