Growing up in the west side of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 3azy Kane was exposed to rap from a very early age. He was someone who fooled around with rapping a lot in his youth but didn’t really have a serious approach to it until he got to college and realized it was something he should pursue. His labelmate, Hollywood Kane, got him to take rapping more serious in college and they developed a group called Kanegang. Since then, 3azy Kane has only gone up, going from college campus rapper to a budding superstar.
3azy Kane dealt with many challenges growing up in Philly and made a point of saying how easy it is to get caught up in the wrong things and with the wrong people. He says that just making it out of Philly was one of life’s biggest challenges for him so far. Since making it out, 3azy Kane has prospered, securing a partnership with an indie label named Kammb Mile High Gang, also known as KMG. Kane says his biggest musical inspirations vary from time to time, but in general he’s inspired by Tupac, 50 Cent, and Kendrick Lamar. He echoes a lot of their sound and style and wants his audience to see how versatile he is as an artist.
3azy Kane recently released a record with his labelmate Hollywood Kane called “Demon Time” ft. Kur and is planning on dropping an EP titled “NEGUS” at the end of February in celebration of the conclusion of Black History Month. Kane is not one without his notable accomplishments either and says that freestyling on stage with Wyclef was a super dope moment and his greatest achievement as a musician.
