Gearing up for an album release next month, 30-year-old rapper, YG, just dropped a video to a song off the project titled, “Out On Bail”. Self explanatory from the title, YG is seen on the cover driving a red Ferrari in a chase, hoping to flee from the cops. This single comes eight months after YG was arrested and released on bail following robbery charges in January. The arrest was done days before YG was scheduled to perform a Nipsey Hussletribute at the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles.YG’s lawyer, Joe Tacopina, responded to the arrest, explaining to  TMZ that “YG has no idea what investigators are talking about” and that “YG has a performance scheduled at the Grammys Sunday where he will honor Nipsey Hussle … so the timing is suspect, to put it mildly.”

In the “Out On Bail” video, YG describes the incident further, rapping, “I’m innocent as f***, but they tryna prove I’m guilty / These lawyers fees is crazy, thank God, I’m playin’ with milli’s … Beefin’ with my homies, all I think about is Nipsey / Usually sip tequila, but today I’m off the Henny / Thinkin’ ’bout Nipsey, n****, had to get tipsy.”
Just like 2Pac’s single, “Out On Bail”, YG explains in a recent interview with Zane Lowe about how 2Pac inspired the upcoming album titled, MY LIFE 4HUNNID. YG tells Zane, “He went through a lot of the stuff that I’m dealing with right now, and he was making records about it, and just the tone and the cadence of how he was coming up. So that’s a fact, that’s a fun fact.”
YG’s album is set to release on October 2, 2020 through Def Jam Recordings. While we wait for that to drop, the new video to “Out On Bail” can be watched above. Enjoy.
