Short films appear to be the theme in music at the moment. First The Weeknd dropped one for After Hours. Now Lil Uzi is following suit, ahead of his forthcoming album Eternal Atake.
Co-directed by Uzi and Gibson Hazard, the two-minute mini movie for Eternal Atakeexplores the origins of Uzi’s alter ego, BabyPluto. The supernatural flick opens with a clean cut Uzi working in an office before strange coordinates suddenly appear on his computer screen, which then leads him to a field where a UFO crashes and women then emerge wearing purple and blue dresses. In true Uzi fashion, the rapper becomes the alien gangs new leader before he is lifted into the spaceship.
Uzi explained the significance of the space visitors wearing the purple and blue dresses.
“If the Ladies in purple Decides to wear Blue they are Searching For Love And Rebirth so that means they take your soul and you will be stuck at the age that was your best year. BUT Everything and everyone you love will die or disappear as time goes on,” he explained to fans on Twitter.
Eternal Atake will debut on March 13th, coming nearly three years after 2017’s Luv Is Rage 2.
