Kanye West is bringing us back to The College Dropout days. Although Ye’s classic debut studio album was released back in 2004, the video for his track “Spaceship” dropped yesterday.
In the visual, West portrays a frustrated Gap employee who dreams of escaping to space. He eventually does in the end as he puts on an astronaut suit and takes off in a spaceship. GLC and Consequence also appear in the video.
I’ve been working this grave-shift / And I ain’t made shit / I wish I could / Buy me a spaceship and fly / Past the sky (Man, man, man…) / Oh, oh, oh
Even though a leaked version of the video exists on YouTube, the official release comes just in time, following Kanye’s 10-year Gap partnership announcement. The singer will be designing a line of clothing for men, women, and kids.
