Jose Aluno Curiel is a 32-year-old Mexican-American (Chicano/ Latino) DJ, musician, songwriter, and music producer who goes by the stage name SoSik Aluno. He’s currently on a mission to promote his music and grow his fan base and visibility so that he can work on bigger projects in the future.
When he was depressed, he first became interested in music. He was determined to feel better and to make everyone around him feel better as well. It was because of this that he began to make music in the first place. He first gained attention for his SoundCloud presence and college parties at the University of Oregon, where he performed his music.
He was born and raised on the West Coast, and he discovered his love for music at a young age. Old school rap, hip hop, and electronic dance music were all big influences on his musical approaches and perceptions. Writing lyrics or composing beats and making music became the right outlet for him to express himself while battling sadness.
While discussing his accomplishments and life milestones, Alonso felt that reaching ten thousand Spotify fans was a significant feat for him since he started from grassroot levels. He believes his appeal stems from the fact that he adds a distinct style and sound to hip-hop. He intends to use his music to spread positivism, and he thinks that the sounds will encourage people to support him more.
His future goals include releasing new music in the coming months and, perhaps, having enough money to start a short tour. His short-term goal is to have his song “Flexxy” by SoSiK reach a million plays, while his long-term goal is to be published on XXL, the source, billboards, and have his song played on the radio.
