Trina and Khia have spent the past decade embroiled in a heated battle over music, rumors and who is simply the best of the two. Their feud tends to experience quiet periods. However, Khia heated things back up when she challenged Trina to a hit battle, to which Trina shut down almost instantly.
During a taping of one of her Youtube videos, Khia was discussing Timbaland and Swizz Beats “Verzuz” IG music battle series. That is when the “My Neck, My Back” rapper decided that she wanted to get in on the fun.
“Who wanna try me like that? Who?” laughed Khia while speaking with a caller during the taping. When the person suggested that she go toe to toe with Trina, Khia replied “You wanna have a hit battle, bitch? I got 285 hits to put on your ass.”
However, Trina shut down all possibilities of a battle with Khia while hosting her “Trick & Trina Morning Show” on 99 JAMZ.
“I’m not stepping off my throne to address no bum, no chicks that are beneath me, and nobody that has not worked as hard as I’ve worked for anything,” she exclaimed. She continued on her rant, “So when you girls, or whatever you wanna be, are calling my name, you wanna battle, you wanna do all this, first of all, make sure you have 10 hits. Make sure you have enough records, make sure you’re on my level if you think you wanna go toe-to-toe with me ’cause you cannot.”
“I will not address you scumbags. You are beneath me and you will always be. Please make sure you understand that.” She concluded with.
While she did garner success in the Florida underground music scene, Khia is best known for her 2002 mega hit “My Neck, My Back (Lick It),” which peaked at No. 42 on the Billboard Hot 100. Trina on the other hand, has seen much commercial success over her 20 year career, with hit singles “Da Baddest Bitch” and “Single Again,” which peaked at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100.
Judging from the two’s long standing feud, a music battle is the last thing that these two need.
