Tory Lanez has been spotted for the first time in public after last month’s shooting involving Megan Thee Stallion.
The Canadian rapper was seen at a McDonald’s in Orlando, Florida, where a bystander filmed him inside the restaurant while accompanied by his dog Charlie. The eyewitness also claims that Lanez was seen speaking with a homeless man who was doing push-ups.
The “Say It” crooner has kept a low profile since being arrested on July 12th for carrying a concealed weapon inside of a vehicle following a dispute that ended with Houston rapper and presumed friend Megan Thee Stallion being shot multiple times in her feet. The LAPD is still investigating the shooting and the possibility of Lanez being the shooter.
The sighting dispelled rumors that Lanez had been deported back to Canada for his involvement in the shooting.
“Obviously Tory has not been deported and is self-quarantining with his family,” a source revealed to popular blog, The Neighborhood Talk. “This is a perfect example of false information being spread regarding this case, his whereabouts and his character. He’s in good spirits and looks forward to having the truth come to light about that night and wishes nothing but the best for Meg.”
Megan has since spoken out about the shooting, though she has kept the name of the shooter private.
“I suffered gunshot wounds, as a result of a crime that was committed against me and done with the intention to physically harm me,” Meg said in an Instagram post.
Lanez has yet to speak on the incident.
