Rapper/singer Tory Lanez took to Twitter on Tuesday to apologize for a boisterous rant that he went on where he donned himself “the best rapper alive.”
For whatever reason, the Toronto native has had a change of heart, reneging on the self proclamation and taking a humbler route.
“Lol yo I’m sorry for the time I said ‘Im the best rapper alive .. even if I feel that way about myself. It’s a dumbass statement,” he apologized in the now deleted tweet.
He realizes that the comment may have come off arrogant at the time.
“And even though I’m always ready to stand behind my talent . It made me look like a dick head . And I’m truly not that. so yeah . My bad lmao,” he added.
In case you missed the original tweet in January of 2019, it blatantly read “IM THE BEST RAPPER ALIVE RIGHT NOW …… I WILL BODY ANY OF YALL NIGGAS OUT ! PERIOD ….”
Elsewhere on Instagram, Lanez “Quarantine Radio” which airs on Instagram Live, is still going strong with superstar guests such as Justin Bieber, Drake, and Chris Brown all joining in on the fun. Friday, he will release his final album for Interscope, The New Toronto 3, featuring previously-released singles “Who Needs Love” and “Do the Most.”
