Tory Lanez released The New Toronto 3, his final album for Interscope just two weeks ago, which followed his wildly successful Quarantine Radioprogram on Instagram. Now, the rapper/singer has announced that he has three new projects in the works.
“I told you I wasn’t gonna release none of my greatest music or none of my most timeless music until I was out the deal and I owned all my masters, owned all my shit, right?” Tory said on Instagram. “So now that I’m out, I own all my masters, I own all my publishing and everything, I got these three projects that I wanna release.”
Lanez plans to make the upcoming releases very unique in comparison to his other projects with one being an ’80s-inspired album, which he likens the sound to “ like I jumped in the time machine and went straight to the ’80s.” He also has an acoustic album lined up, which he described as “Ed Sheeran meets Adele meets some ni**a from the hood.” The Spanish project had been announced previously, with the title El Agua. He also revealed that each of the three would be short, with only 7-8 songs at the most. He says he plans to begin releasing the new music some time after May 10th.
In the meantime, Quarantine Radio will make it’s return to Instagram Live this week, giving fans just enough to keep them preoccupied until the new music makes its debut.
