Tiffany Haddish has chimed in on how she feels about the current state of the country while expressing her fear of bringing children into the world because of it.
On Monday, the actress appeared on Carmelo Anthony’s show, What’s In Your Glass on YouTube TV. They covered a series of different topics, such as how her career evolving after working in the industry for over twenty years, social justice, and police brutality.
Carmelo Anthony also mentioned when Tiffany Haddish attended a pro-black women protest, she then further explained what she spoke about and how fearful she is of having children.
She stated, “I would hate to give birth to someone that looks like me and then, knowing that they’re going to be hunted or killed, you know? Like, why would I put someone through that?”
She added how she wants to inspire people’s hearts through laughter and the joy of comedy because, ultimately, everyone wants to experience happiness.
When asked about where she sees the black community in five years, Tiffany Haddish responded by saying, “We are going to be stronger, we are going to be smarter, I feel like we are going to have a better idea of how money works and how this country was built… I think we’ll be a big step forward in dismantling systemic racism and hopefully happier.”
