Tae Groove is an up-and-coming artist who just released his first single on a project called “Make it Out” featuring Jay Esco. Born and raised in Sioux City, Iowa, Tae “Tae Groove” Robinson started doing music as a way to express himself and recorded his first song when he was 18. He describes his sound as unique, personal, real, and relatable. When asked about his genre, he replied, “My genre is a little everything. I don’t have a set genre and some might not like that but I love it because not everyone can create vibes outside where they started. I’d say I primarily rap but I make many genres including pop and even R&B. I am OK being a multi-genre artist.”
His music is personal and unique and his fans can relate to it. Groove enjoys the diversity of music and being exposed to new artists and sounds. By remaining true to himself, he has been able to create songs that blend together different styles of music and vibes. Music has given him peace and motivates him. Being a multi-genre artist has allowed Groove to create a vibe outside of where he started. His main genre is rap, but he also creates songs that include pop and even R&B.
Family and friends are his biggest motivation specifically his mom and twin brother. His family has always been supportive of his music career it has motivated him to pursue music as far as it will take him. Groove hopes to support his family and himself throughout his career. Part of his journey is to give back to his family. One day, he hopes to leave behind his 9-5 job and tour the world. Throughout his career, Tae Groove will continue to grind, evolve, learn, and network.
Given that he writes his own music, he hopes to one day write and produce for other artists. His goals regarding music are to be financially stable, to tour the world, and to make a positive impact on the artists of the future.
