Kanye West left many scratching their heads after holding his first presidential rally on Sunday in Charleston, South Carolina.
West erratically fired off his views on an array of topics, including abortion to which he revealed, “My mom saved my life. My dad wanted to abort me. My mom saved my life. There would’ve been no Kanye West because my dad was too busy … I almost killed my daughter,” revealing that he and wife Kim Kardashian spoke about abortion while pregnant with their daughter North West.
The presidential hopeful also shook up the rally when he spoke negatively about Civil Rights hero Harriet Tubman.
“She never actually freed the slaves, she just had them work for other white people,” he said, which was met with immediate disdain by the crowd and fellow celebs who took to social media to slam the billionaire rapper for his false claims.
“Nahhhh WE Can’t let you do that Ye’….What WE NOT gon do is slander nor disrespect the legacy of our heroic Queen Harriet Tubman by telling falsities in an attempt to discredit the contributions she made to LIBERATE OUR PEOPLE‼️” Rapper T.I. said in a lengthy Instagram post.
Rapper 50 Cent also chimed in, asking “what the f*** did he just say?”
It is also being reported that Kim Kardashian is upset with her outspoken husband over the North West comments as well as the Harriet Tubman criticism. Others in his family are reported to be concerned with his mental state following the rally.
Following his rally, Ye failed to make the ballot in South Carolina.
