SZA has not dropped a full body of work since her Grammy nominated debut album, Ctrl. While fans have been desperate for a deluxe edition of the album, SZA has revealed that she is going in a completely different direction with her next release.
On Monday, the “Love Galore” singer interacted with her fans on Twitter, where she revealed that she would be releasing a project of about 20 unreleased records that she has recorded over a six year period.
“So like a music dump .. similar to a photo dump but not an album .. this concept make sense to anyone? Has anyone ever done it? Asking for me.” she tweeted.
This forthcoming project would follow the same blueprint as Ctrl, which was created in a similar fashion of pulling unreleased tracks together.
“I just made a gang of songs over the course of four years. Heard ’em all together and I was like, ‘Huh, alright,'” she revealed to FADER in a 2018 interview.
SZA fans now have something to look forward to, considering that it’s been nearly 3 years since her critically acclaimed platinum selling debut album that changed the course of R&B.
