South Jersey Artist Louie DE3 Talks Music & More with HHW

Introduce yourself to our readers, let them know your name and where you’re from

What’s going on y’all I go by Louie DE3. I was born and raised in Vineland, New Jersey. South Jersey to be exact.

Why did you start to do music?

During my younger years around 8-11 years old I would randomly write my own lyrics with no soundtrack even behind it. Full written out songs with a hook and all. I never really seen it as a strong path I wanted to take until I was eighteen and began to see how influential music can be. Over the years I realized that I was a great listener but I was never big on speaking much and stayed to myself. In 2019 when I officially made my first song it amazed me how many people liked my music and urged me to drop more. They all felt like they could relate. This is how I realized this is how I could express myself. This was my path.

Have you had another career that wasn’t in the music industry?

No

If you could get advice from any artist in the industry, who would it be and why?

Meek Mill.

He accomplished exactly what he wanted despite the obstacles and where he started. Most people use their current circumstances as an excuse. He took that same circumstance and used it as his strength. I admire that.

What or who influences your music?

My family and supporters influence my music. Knowing how much they relate to my music not only lets them know that they are not alone but it also let’s me know that they are in it with me. We are in it together. This pushes me harder to keep creating because I have people counting on me and I will not let them down.

What’s the process of creating music for you?

It’s always the mood of the record for me. Sometimes you just hear a beat and it speaks to your soul without words. It’s like a language only you the artist understands. If the production matches the mood that I’m already naturally in, that’s when I start to create. The beat just amplifies my current state. I capture moments with my music, not just lyrics. It gets to the point when sometimes my lyrics are so personal and real that I have to write alone to capture what I’m feeling at the moment. It’s like exposing your deepest thoughts, secrets, and pain with the whole world at once. It’s a very humbling experience.

What differentiates you from other artists?

My versatility. I can go from a melodic flow, a more hardcore style, or just straight into a classic flow. And even with all those styles they are all me. I’m just learning and  continuing to grow to the point where I can communicate with every demographic of people through my music. We might all be different but we are more of the same than not.

Have you ever released an album?

What do you hope to get out of your involvement in the music industry?

I just want to be an influence to people that think their life is at a dead end. We all go through a point when life hits us hard. I mean REALLY HARD. Through my music I want to relate to people in every way I can from everyday struggles, relationships, to fake friends and family. I want to uplift as much as I possibly can and be a guide for people to find themselves. Be different, be yourself, be a LONER. S/o my label LONER Ent.

Thanks for having me.
