With the coronavirus gripping the world one country at a time, with major events being cancelled, including the remainder of the NBA season, companies that specialize in cleaning products are seeing a huge boom in profits skyrocket, and rapper Soulja Boy looking to capitalize on the pandemic.
While at The Breakfast Club earlier this week, Soulja Boy announced that he had launched his own line of soap and cleaning supplies, which includes laundry detergent and all purpose cleaners. While many people took the opportunity to poke fun at the eccentric rapper for his latest business venture, company records show that Soulja is laughing all the way to the bank.
TMZ reports that within the last few months, Soulja’s The Soap Shop has tripled their profits. He launched the South Haven, Mississippi location with manager, CEO Miami Mike. Since its creation, the franchise has gone from selling 100 bottles of cleaning products per month to well over 3,000-plus cleaning products in the last 2 months. That’s about a 30 percent increase.
Not just a company totally focused on generating wealth, The Soap Shop is known for their charity efforts as well. The company has partnered with the Bubbles for Cash charity. When the youth workers go out and sell products from The Soap Shop, the majority of those earnings are then funneled back into the community for programs that help younger generations.
