Skip Marley Shares How He Has Been Staying Creative During These Difficult Times

Born in Kingston, Jamaica and raised in Miami, Florida, Skip is a self-taught musician and first performed at the age of 15. He is the grandson of the legendary reggae icon Bob Marley. 

Upon his debut in the music industry, Skip has collaborated with Katy Perry, Ari
Lennox, H.E.R, his uncle Damien, & Rick Ross.

Hip Hop Weekly had the opportunity to tap in with Skip Marley expressed how hopeful one day these negative situations when end on a positive note. 

“I mean with everything that has been happening, it’s hard not to stay creative. Everything is influencing me, everything is inspiring me. Looks what’s happening around the world. We have to stop it. We have to put an end to it. If not now, then when.”

Skip Marley will participate in the “Reggae” Cypher at this year’s Hip Hop Awards airing Tuesday, October 27th on BET.
