nicky ros has been infatuated with the art of making music for as long as he can remember. Growing up in a multinational household, nicky ros was exposed to a wide variety of different music. The creative’s musical beginnings happened while he was in choir and learning how to play the many different instruments he plays today.
At just 9 years old, nicky ros began writing pop music for a 14 instrument band and has been developing his songwriting skills ever since. The experience allows the artist to study songwriting further at Idyllwild Arts Academy. During this time nicky ros also attended the University Of California Berkeley where he found his love for Latin music. He decided to adjust his sound to incorporate all of the different styles of music he had heard in his life which was the base for everything he’s making today.
Mostly inspired by R&B singers, nicky ros’ sound is an interesting blend of multiple different genres of music. The songwriter’s breakthrough came when he discovered his Cuban and Argentine heritage and began looking into the connections between Salsa, Island, and Reggae music. “In the new music, I work to combine those influences with the developing 808 bass elements in American R&B and the Hyphy Movement from the Bay Area.”
Building a catalog with a mix of different types of music, nicky ros has been able to reach thousands of listeners worldwide. The artist recently dropped a brand new single called ‘f it out’ ahead of his EP that’s set to come out this year.
