Ray Riley, a San Diego and Inland Empire local shows off his new video for “Bring Me Peace”. A feel good track produced by Zuri. The beat hits Drake level notes with a chopped sample over a steady boom-bap groove that feels familiar but in the most inviting of ways.
Ray’s hard hitting verses cut through the melody providing a reality check as he talks about his own battles with depression and carrying the weight of bad decisions he’s made causing him to lose and hurt significant people in his life. The song sends a sense of empowerment, almost a cathartic preach getting those feelings off one’s chest.
“Let my purpose bring me peace” the bar serving as a hook is also serving as a simple and straightforward reminder that those words are what embodies the essence all creatives strive for, a way so their art can take them to a place within themselves that you can’t find anywhere else.
Ray has been making music since 2017 releasing his own music since then proving five years in the making. He hints to us that his next moves for the coming year include creating new material and growing his brand, definitely more music videos and performing at live shows and working towards putting out new music.
We hope to see what’s in store for the coming year, if you haven’t yet check out the video for “Bring Me Peace” down below, and be sure to check out “Black Hoodie Music” available on streaming services everywhere.
