Child rapper turned reality television star Romeo Miller has been one of the most recognizable faces since the 2016 launch of the WeTV hit series “Growing Up Hip-Hop,” which focuses on the lives of children whose famous parents are heavily involved in the hip-hop industry. However, TheJasmineBRAND reported on Tuesday that the No Limit heir is now walking away from the show, which he serves as executive producer of.

Romeo removed the series from his list of current projects on his Instagram, seemingly confirming the end of his ‘GUHH’ tenure. He then posted a photo with a lengthy caption, promoting MTV’s “Ex on the Beach,” which he also hosts, that hinted at him  “stepping away” from something .

“I still remember when I left to film my MTV show @exonthebeach in New Zealand. It was a last minute decision and I had to clear my entire schedule including Co hosting GMA for the month,” Romeo wrote. Further down in the caption he says, “My message; don’t be afraid to step away from your comfort zone. God’s plans are much greater than ours. I’m happier and wiser after my experience on the other side of the world.”

Sources close to the situation revealed to TheJasmineBRAND that Romeo and production have been at odds for quite some time. Much of Romeo’s storyline since the beginning of the show  has been centered around the relationship between him and Angela Simmons. This year, however, the pair are not feeling one another. Furthermore, the rapper has criticized the show for the way that he has been portrayed, which is causing heavy scrutiny from viewers.

“Romeo nor his father (Master P) would never go against their morals for money for any network,” the source revealed. “He hasn’t been on much of this season and is focusing on his many businesses, career and his love life with new girlfriend. Romeo has nothing against the cast, they’re just growing apart and he rather explore the truth not a fake love triangle that the network is dragging out.”

With a mogul like Master P as his father, and a plethora of experience under his belt, Romeo is sure to be just fine without those ‘GUHH’ checks.

I still remember when I left to film my MTV show @exonthebeach in New Zealand. It was a last minute decision and I had to clear my entire schedule including Co hosting GMA for the month. I was on my best training regime to date, it was finally summer, the girl I liked started showing interest and my beard started to finally grow in ha. Ok back to my point, my message; don’t be afraid to step away from your comfort zone. God’s plans are much greater than ours. I’m happier and wiser after my experience on the other side of the world. Stay focused and everything will work it self out. That’s my key ingredient for success, big faith. Tune into my hit show #EOTB Thursday nights at 9/8c. Thanks. -RM
