Meet Jason O’Banner Jr. known as Kid Jay. He built his rapping skills freestyling with friends while they all played basketball together in high school. Kid Jay attended Ycs Community High, from where he graduated in 2017. Now he’s using those skills to promote positivity, performing in different states and venues across the world, from Detroit, New York, Atlanta, Ohio and Chicago. He Recently did a collaboration with Detroit youth choir runners up on Americas Got Talent called Glory, that is the theme song from the movie Selma that made national attention. He joined the Steve Harvey mentoring program this summer and also made a appearance on a Q&A episode of America’s Got Talent. Kid Jay said his ultimate goal is to become successful in the music world and build an all autistic high school for autistic students and name it after his late Grandmother who inspired his music vision, who passed away when he was very young. He is a very rare young talent and it will be a pleasure to watch where his career goes, yall be on the lookout for Kid Jay.
