Prayers up for Rickey Smiley and his family.

The former BET’s Comic View host revealed on Monday morning that his daughter, Aaryn was shot three times, along with two others during a road rage incident in Houston over the weekend.

“My youngest daughter was shot last night,” he revealed during his morning show, which was posted on the Rickey Smiley Morning Show YouTube channel on Monday. “I’m just so angry right now.”

According to investigators, it all started with an altercation at a separate location. At some point, the victims car, a black Infiniti, was at a red light when the suspect pulled up to it and opened fire. The driver of the Infiniti managed to drive all three of them to the hospital. An innocent bystander who was not involved in the altercation was caught in the crossfire while stopped at the same red light. However, they were not injured. All three victims are expected to survive.

“I go to bed around 8:30 or 9 o’ clock, and I woke up to text messages,” Smiley explained. “The fact that she’s laying up in the hospital and probably going to have to go into surgery … She’s just crying, she’s scared, and I just hate it.”

At this time, police do not have any suspects in the shootings. Let’s pray for a speedy recovery.
