The Youth Empowerment Show, [YES], was an epic experience! The show was filmed live at the Cornerstone Academy located in the Bronx, NY. The show is a Youtube series that is an open discussion for teens on issues such as self esteem, bullying, and life goals.

Teens were seen dancing in the audience to the sounds of DJ Fax before the taping started. The Standard Collaboration Dance Team officially started the show dancing to Missy Elliot and Ciara’s hit single “Lose Control”. They were full of energy and definitely worked the stage!

The founder of the Youth Empowerment Show, Carl Michel, and Hot 97|WBLS FM Digital Strategist & Journalist L’Oréal Luchi were the hosts for the afternoon live taping. They started the show with positive affirmations and the crowning of King and Queen for the day. There were multiple prizes given out to the children including Cupcakes and gift bags. Sponsors for the show were Pastel Cupcakes, Kiss My Slice Pizza, Milk Apparel, Fruits By Pesha, and more.

The first panel discussion featured young influencers including Artist Ava Fratus, Fashion Designer Nevaeh Flowers, Artist duo Mora Mina, Artist Tonee Marino, and Artist Victoria Dennis. They discussed how they achieved their goals, how to handle bullying, their inspirations and more.

The second panel discussion was with Sirius XM Radio Personality Swaggie Sie, Entrepreneur/Actress Tara Wallace, Music Producer Amadeus and Queens Rapper/Actress Kiyanne. They spoke about topics that were very inspiring to the youth in attendance. Some of the topics were how they deal with cyber bullying, celebrity friends that give them good advice, how they achieved their goals what it takes to be successful.

Amadeus made a connection with one of the teens in the audience who asked him for advice that was an upcoming producer. Amadeus told the young man to reach out to him so he could mentor him in production work. The panel was absolutely inspiring.
