
North Carolina’s own independent recording artist Kw.Y.IT would be able to invest more freely in his music if he had a label deal but he plans to stay indie for right now. He is a firm believer of the music itself including every avenue including the production. His biggest struggle is finding his audience. Especially at this time, it’s not easy to say you’re a “rapper” and you’ve got spreading love as an agenda. The two don’t mix in an audience. Hopefully they get to see how well love mixes with matters of the heart, even rap. Says Kw.Y.IT. We asked Kw.Y.IT how the covid pandemic affected his music career, and he said it was actually for the better personally, due to the fact that he had no other choice but to focus on his life and the way he was living. There are so many distractions to the youth, it’s like the humanity of a person suffers. He had to look closer at his career, health, relationships, and most importantly his spirituality.
