Riicch is a very unique artist with some sounds and deep melodies that are out of this world. He was even given his own basketball team in the OVO basketball league by Drake, himself. You see Drake and Riicch’s brother, Fif who has passed away, were very close friends and after the passing, Drake brought Riicch closer into the OVO family.
Riicch grew up in the east-end of Toronto, that forced him to be a go getter and a trendsetter. Facing all of his struggles and problems head on which has created a playlist of music for his fans to love, cherish and vibe out to.
Riicch recently dropped “Spur Of The Moment” you can hear that passion and emotion that he’s known for putting into each and every song. That passion shows people how real and authentic he really is. Fans yearn for a peek into the life of their favorite artists, and Riicch is giving just that and more!
The position that Riicch holds within OVO is something special he has a powerful machine behind him. When you couple that with good music and a unique sound, up is the only way to go from here.
The debut EP, God Don’t Sleep is something that can truly be made into a movie for the big screens. It dives into how he has been dealing with the passing of his brother FiF, how the situation has affected him and where he goes from here.
We spoke with Ricch and he explained what was motivation behind Spur Of The Moment. “My brother and I lived by a quote ‘Live In The Moment‘ that’s how most street guys live, we live in the moment, day by day no regrets. This particular day I was frustrated and I just let it all out on the mic.”
