Dwyane Wade is known as an iconic basketball player, devoted father, and now, rapper.
On Friday, Rick Ross released “Season Ticket Holder,” a tribute to his hometown of Miami which features Miami Heat star Udonis Haslem, Raphael Saadiq, and Wade, who goes by his rap moniker, D. Wade on the track.
Wade spoke about the collab earlier this week while appearing on Good Morning America.
“I wanted to get on one song, one day,” he told the hosts. “Rick Ross, who’s a good friend of mine, reached out and said ‘D, let’s do a track for the city. So my last year I filmed a song with Rick Ross called ‘Season Ticket Holder.'”
Wade also told Bleacher Report, “I’m doing something I’ve never done before, but doing it for the city of Miami. For me, it’s just an honor to be in the studio messing around, joking around, having fun, but really it’s for the city, for the culture.”
“Season Ticket Holder” is Rozay’s first release since last August ‘Port of Miami 2,’ which debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200.
Does D. Wade have a promising post-basketball career in rap? You be the judge.
