Meek Mill has stood on the front lines of the police brutality fight for years, partly due to his own past dealings with law enforcement. He has also dedicated himself to his REFORM initiative, which assists blacks dealing with social injustices. Now, the Philly rapper is back with new music which gives his perspective on the ongoing unrest in the country, following the murders of several unarmed blacks including George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery, and Breonna Taylor.

In “Otherside of America,” the 33-year-old raps “Reportin’ live from the other side / Same corner where my brothers died / Livin’ life, we ain’t got care / Tell my momma I ain’t dyin’ here,” he raps.

Dreamchasers founder initially teased the track on Thursday via his social media before unveiling it in its entirety on Friday.
