Last month rapper Nelly celebrated the 20th Anniversary of his hit debut album ‘Country Grammar’ by releasing a deluxe edition for the album. He has every reason to celebrate this iconic piece of work. From mega hits like ‘Country Grammar’ to Ride Wit Me and E.I., Nelly should definitely do it big. Not only did it have a numerous bangers, but it Is one of few albums in history to be certified diamond by the RIAA for selling over 10 million copies. What a major accomplishment!
The St. Louis native will continue his celebrations by partnering with MelodyVR, a virtual reality music app. He plans to perform the album in it’s entirety from start to finish. The show will be held in Los Angeles in their 360 top of the line virtual studio. It will air this Saturday July 25th at 9 p.m. EST/ 6 p.m. PST. I highly recommend tuning in if you’re a Nelly fan, this will be a show you don’t wanna miss. VR headsets are required but encouraged to get the full effects of the show.
If you thought that was it, guess again. Not only is he gonna give us a fire show but he has also added 4 extra tracks to the track list. Which include instrumentals of ‘Ride Wit Me’ and ‘Country Grammar’. The two new tracks are titled ‘Come Over’ and ‘Icey’ which features the St. Lunatics. I can’t wait to listen and tune into tomorrow. If it’s anything like the Verzuz battle between him and Ludacris we are all in for a good time and hella good vibes.
