Hip hop artist Young J $tacks has faced a lifetime of hardship. The MC grew up in Hartford, Connecticut, watching his single mother struggle to raise him and his older brother.
Having to grow up quickly, the artist dropped out of school at the age of 14 to hustle and provide for his family. Splitting time between cutting hair and moving in the streets, the only thing on Young J $tacks’ mind was bettering himself.
In 2010 Young J $tacks was shot in the head while trying to protect his girlfriend’s sister from her abusive boyfriend. While many would have faced death on the spot, the MC battled his way through a coma and survived to live another day.
Making the best of his situation, Young J $tacks has taken a new perspective on life to build a music career that’s just now beginning to blossom. The rapper just dropped a new single titled ‘Trap God’ to follow up his 2021 album ‘Street Baby’.
