A big personality, unapologetically authentic mixed with southern hospitality is how I would describe one of the hottest up and coming artists hailing out of Mississippi. Meet Lady T, a single mom who hasn’t allowed life’s obstacles to deter her from pursuing her passion for creating music. The boom-bap style rapstress uses her pain from a difficult childhood and failed marriages to push her further in a career which she hopes will not only help her to realize her dreams of becoming a successful entertainer, but also create generational wealth for her children.

She’s not your typical petite figure of most female rappers in the game, Lady T considers her physique to be “Big Country” and says what you see is what you get. This isn’t the only thing that separates her from women in the game, but also her ability to mix city and country, which provides a vibe all her own. When asked who inspired her to become the artist she is today, she cited TLC, David Banner,Gangsta Boo, UGK, 8 Ball MJG, THE HOTBOYZ, Lil Wayne, Trill Fam, Master P, Mia X and Gucci. As far as the artists who influence her music today, Yo Gotti, Black Youngsta, 2 Chainz ,Gucci Mane, Jay Z, Big Sean, Light Skinned Keisha, Mulatto, Megan Thee Stallion and Rihanna are amongst her mentions. She separately emphasized that Beyonce is her greatest overall inspiration along with Lizzo for her self-confidence,

Lady T, real name Tiffany Lashunta Monique Harris, realized she has what it takes to make it in this industry when she was crowned Queen of the South after winning the Queen of the South Showcase in Picayune, Mississippi and is expected to open up for 42 Dugg as a result, the date of which is still to be determined.

Currently Lady T is pushing two singles. He debut single entitled “Bossy” which tackles issues surrounding her views of the dogmatic society and sexist preference in the world today. She’s also pushing “Mississippi Runner” in which she displays her stamina and solidifies that she is here to stay. She’s hoping to build a team of like-minded individuals to help push her further but is ready and willing to take on the task all her own and is determined to be successful by any means necessary.
