Middmann and Marcel White’s latest project, MIDDLE EAST, is out now!
Hip hop artist Middmann and producer Marcel White just partnered up to create a project that audiences can definitely vibe to all the way through. The project, called MIDDLE EAST, released on Friday, April 16th, and features five songs that showcase both musicians’ talents.
Prior to this project, the pair have collaborated on many singles and even a visual for their track “Not a Slatt.” Their prowess and cadence are impeccably paired and make for an entertaining and ecstatic song. They have a unique flair that is not typical for the usual west coast artist sound. The abstract qualities of their music are what showcase “different personalities” that make up their music so versatile.
The new EP MIDDLE EAST opens with their track “Lost In New York,” a melodic and hypnotizing track about going to New York and f–king sh-t up, going out on your own, on a “fresh start,” and running it up with the homie. The track will leave you in a trance, transporting you to New York, lost but with propensity.
The following track, “Cartier Flows,” is the shortest song on the EP but one of the standouts. The track is a hard-hitting anthem that will leave you wanting more — it’s full of bass and tenacity, seeping boss energy, and fun wordplay. The duo sure knows how to diversify their sound and make an impeccable beat to make anyone “go crazy.”
The third track, “Friday The 13th,” is a straight vibe. The song has this great cadence that makes it catching and mesmerizing, leaving the listeners fascinated. The beat is full of bass and this flair that Middmann and Marcel White seem to have locked in flawlessly. The fourth track, “Magic (Free Midnite),” comes with repeating refrain lines that make up most of the record. The song is sure to get you signing with its fun cadence and unique sound.
The fifth and final tack on their EP, “Can’t Fold,” is a flawless track with a mesmerizing melodic tempo. The song has a laid-back cadence that is unique for the album’s sound but matches the abstractness of the duo. The song’s lit and serves as the perfect anthem or song anyone can blast in his or her car.
MIDDLE EAST is a must-listen-to project, from start to finish. The duo will have you trapped with their mesmerizing melodies and intoxicating and original wordplay.
