Music has always been an essential part of June Poole’s life, a form of expression and escapism. The Bay Area native grew up playing sports and had initially wanted to be a professional athlete, inspiring his first single, “Tom Brady.” It wasn’t until messing around with beats during summertime of the COVID Pandemic and watching his older cousin record in the studio that June became committed to a successful music career. So far he’s recorded over 20 songs including hits like “Blame Me”, “Like Its Nothin”, and “Westside.” When asked to describe his style and sound, he says it’s a mix of R&B and Pop-“I like to make music that’s fun. I get inspiration from artists like Chris Brown, Jeremih and Drake.”
The 21-year old’s inspiration comes from his family. Having grown up in Hayward, CA, he mentions that his loved ones have always been his biggest support system, particularly his parents and sisters. He says, “My family supports everything I do, so it’s only right that I make it happen for them.”
While many other artists find the Pandemic as a roadblock to their momentum, June has capitalized and really catapulted his career during the downtime. In October 2021, June opened up for Migos at a college homecoming in Colorado, a moment that changed June’s career and profile. Since then, he’s been staying busy on several projects including a collaboration with Clayton Williams from Empire Records and he’s worked on a track with Jemouri at Black Star Studios to name a few.
June Poole just dropped his newest single, “Red Flags” in honor of the recent red flag trend on social media.

HHW: Where do you currently live?
June Poole: I just recently moved to Los Angeles from Hayward, CA, not too far from Oakland. It was better to be here in LA to network for my music career. I’m currently learning all aspects of the industry to enhance my performance on stage-vocal lessons, dance rehearsals, etc.
HHW: What are your goals when it comes to your music?
June Poole: My goal is to get better with time, work on my craft, build relationships; I want my music to be relatable to my fans. To leave an everlasting impact. I eventually want to win a Grammy, #1 Album and Billboard.
HHW: Do you have any other special talents? Dancing, acting?
June Poole: I used to do a little bit of acting and modeling when I was a kid. My mom’s got some old Mervyn’s catalogs to prove it! I just started dancing, my boys FLoStyles and Roro help me when it comes to dancing. Both are dope choreographers down here in LA.
HHW: What’s next for you?
June Poole: More life, friendships, new music and making memories; I’m heavy on having a good time and never settling; After music I’d love to expand my brand whether it’s modeling or acting, I have a couple of other things up my sleeve. We have one life to live so we need to go for what we want!
