Bronx rapper ImSoMaleek has been on the brink of success most of his career, from touring with the legendary country singer Kenny Rogers to being Simba from the Broadway play The Lion King, the artist has undoubtedly been grinding.

‘Soul Shift,’ is a four-track EP that showcases his stunning and impressive vocals. ImSoMaleek’s project is a heartfelt and genuine story of love, relationships, and heartache. His sound on the tape is mesmerizing as he blends accents of R&B and hip hop with jazz, mixing a fast tempo with thick bass, creating an exquisite and unique R&B sound.
The impressive four-track EP brings in the listener as ImSoMaleek takes you along his love affairs. With stand-out tracks like “Gotta Get It” and “D’evils,” the EP is an impressive feat for the Bronx native. His sound matured then from his previous records and project, “Insomniak,” as his lyrical content, themes, and hooks have improved with time.
From the jump of the project, ImSoMaleek hooks his listeners in with standout track “D’evils,” which is a soulful tale of “hitting the ground” and a love that is running away. Another track, and the last track on the project is “Gotta Get It,” an anthem and boppy track that is a perfect vibe and chill song. “Slow Jiggle” makes for a dope song that talks about being intimate and ultimately is a deep cut track where ImSoMaleek asks his partner to “make it jiggle” for him.
The song “Bad Vibes” showcases ImSoMaleek’s voice as he serenades his girl, tempting his lady to leave with him. “I Got You,” is a catchy, sensual song about being intimate and being with someone, serving as a ride or die song that is the perfect link and couple song. This certified record will have you moving and singing along.
ImSoMaleek has dedicated his whole life to the arts. When not recording music, ImSoMaleek writes screenplays and short films and hopes to make a profession of it real soon. His goal in life is to become the best artist in music and film and businessman anyone has ever seen. His dedication to his craft and his tenacity towards making music sets him apart from anyone else right now, releasing hit after hit.
