Superstar songstress Mariah Carey is gearing up to give the fans exactly what they are seeking! On Oct. 2, the pop icon will release a new two-disc retrospective album titled The Rarities. As this release will be a collection of personal favorites from her extensive vault of music throughout the course of her career, you can expect nothing less than another hit album. One special treat Carey is giving fans is previously unreleased recordings from 1990 through 2020, along with some of her most personal memoir material.
This announcement could not have come at a better time considering the fact that Carey’s The Meaning of Mariah Carey memoir book is set to be released on September 29th. When asked what inspired this upcoming release the New York native stated “I started writing this years ago, and the message rings true now more than ever. We are all in this together.” To hold her following over she gifts the world with a hot, new single titled “Save The Day” featuring the ever so talented Lauryn Hill. Produced by legendary hitmaker Jermaine Dupri this single samples the Fugees 1996 hit “Killing Me Softly” which is one of the former groups’s biggest records to date. Lauryn Hill who is a former member of The Fugees, can be heard singing her original vocals vocals from the original song in creating harmonious bliss.
