Los Angeles music group Pluggworld released their newest album titled “Tug of War” on November 16th. This project is the band’s fifth album, and they have more than enough excitement about it to share with the world. The duo describe their sound as “vibey”, often fusing several different genres and styles into one song. They play live instruments in their tracks, which is something they pride themselves on. Being their own musicians, writers, and producers, it makes sense for them to be inspired by other artists who embody those same qualities: Lauryn Hill, John Mayer, Nipsey Hussle, Iman Omari, and Ty Dolla $ign, to name their top picks. Even though Pluggworld heavily prides themselves on being self-sufficient when creating their music, they are also not shy about collaborating with other artists and producers to add another layer of artistry to their tracks. Pluggworld has collaborated with two producers, Saint Micah and Vin D’amato on their latest album “Tug of War.”
“Two talented guys that understand our sound. This is our first time not producing everything ourselves, and it was a positive experience for sure.”
Pluggworld also describes their latest album as being “a sonic journey through our experience maneuvering and making our way in LA trying to get money and dealing with relationships and women issues. The tug of war is money and success pulling for our time on one side, and the relationships and love pulling us on the other side.”
The album Tug of War is available now on all streaming services. Check it out below.
