During a shoot for his new ESPN commercial, Lil’ Wayne took the opportunity to debut a brand new track, presumably from his upcoming Funeral album, which will be released in February.

In the behind-the-scenes footage for the commercial, the “Go Dj” hip-hop pioneer is seen performing with a traditional New Orleans second line band. In the clip, he raps “Get down or lay down/ Lay down or stay down/ Get to the Playoffs/ Can’t take a day off.”

Wayne and ESPN have collaborated quite a bit, with him appearing multiple times on sports debate programs. The rapper has long been a fan of the network, making reference to it in various songs, including his popular mixtape love anthem “Something You Forgot,” where he raps, “But I hope you haven’t forgot about me up in the livin’ room watchin’ SportsCenter,” mentioning the networks signature sports broadcasting show.

Are we feeling the new Tunechi?
