It has been a long time coming for two of New Orleans most influential rappers known as Lil Wayne and Birdman. Now that they have officially reconciled, the pair have been in talks to create the sequel to their collaborative effort Like Father, Like Son.
This announcement was made public on the season finale of Wayne’s Young Money Radio show on Apple Music on Friday (July 17). The “Go DJ” rapper invited Birdman on his show, showing the world that his love for his mentor has been reinforced. In an Instagram video clip posted by Tunechi on Sunday (July 19), you will the pair candidly conversing as Birdman directly asks Wayne if he thinks they can do Like Father, Like Son 2.
Without any hesitation Wayne assures Birdman that they can for sure move forward with the plan to release a new joint effort. He states “Come on man, that was not a question. “You know I could send you six joints, you ain’t gotta do nothing but put your verses to them. You already know how I do man.” It is good to see that the two have found peace and can now start back creating the hits we love to hear.
