R&B songstress Keyshia Cole released her latest single “I Don’t Wanna Be in Love,” on Friday (Feb.5). The track Marks her first single in three years.
“I Don’t Wanna Be in Love” is a soulful ballad nothing short of powerful adlib’s and high notes describing a dead end situationship in which both friends involved are attached to other people. During the chorus, Keyshia repeatedly sings “I don’t wanna be in love” sending the message of not being a fool for love, and walking away from a relationship.
The artwork displays Keyshia siting with toes pointed forward dressed in a red t-shirt and a pair of red and black sneakers. A heart wrapped in a band-aid hanging in the corner of the cover hangs just above the singer symbolizing an injured heart.
“I Don’t Wanna Be in Love,” was produced by Keyshia Cole, Ron Fair, Gregory Edwards, and Anthony Bell. Visuals for “I Don’t Wanna Be in Love” is due to drop later this month. The single will be released on Keyshia’s upcoming eighth studio album, which will be released later this year.
