Show me the money! On Thursday, Forbes unveiled its annual list of the world’s highest-paid celebrities and although he claims to be a billionaire, Kanye West landed at the No. 2 spot, bringing in an estimated $170 million. The top earning celebrity was Kylie Jenner with $590 million after selling a 51% stake in her cosmetics brand to Coty. Although Forbes revoked her billionaire status just a few weeks ago after claiming Jenner had exaggerated about her numbers, the magazine says that the money she pulled in from the deal is “one of the biggest celebrity cashouts of all time.”
LeBron James ranked as the highest paid athlete along with Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, and movie mogul Tyler Perry rounded out the top ten. Hip-hop stars who also dominated the list include Sean “Diddy” Combs who, thanks to his partnership with Ciroc Vodka, came in at No. 37 with $55 million. Jay-Z followed at No. 42 with $53.5 million and Drake landed at No. 49 with $49 million.
Other stars on the list include Ariana Grande (No. 17, $72 million), Jennifer Lopez (No. 56, $47.5 million), Rihanna (No. 60, $46 million), and Will Smith (No. 69, $44.5 million).
