Harlem rapper, Juelz Santana had an early release from prison Wednesday [Aug.5].

For those who don’t know, Santana was arrested in late 2018 for trying to flee Newark Airport, while carrying a concealed weapon. The rapper was sentenced to 27 months after authorities found his bag, wallet and I.D.

Juelz Santana was able to get an early release due to the rapid spread of Covid-19 inside prisons. His wife, Kimbella stated in an Instagram video, that Juelz was actually set to be released last Tuesday but was delayed due to some issues. “But we’re outside of the prison now and he’s gonna be released any minute. And I’ll leave it all up to him when he gets out. Stay tuned!” continued the Love and Hip Hop: New York star.

To many fans surprise, Juelz Santana posted an Instagram picture with a black bandana and “Santana Free” hat, with the caption “Free at last #Imback #SantanaFree.”  Fans were not expecting Juelz to be home until Feb. 2021.
