“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.” ― Eleanor Roosevelt

We live in hope, and it helps us sail through even the toughest times. Hope is what gives everyone strength. Being optimistic about the future is perhaps the best encouragement an artist can have to create something unique. Music is no exception to this. Each artist has high hopes with every new release. Sometimes their expectations are met, and sometimes they aren’t, but what matters most is that this optimism should live on to continually motivate artists.

Musician, songwriter, singer, and composer Jonathan Paul Smith is one such example of someone who lives for tomorrow. After his debut single “Times Will Change,” released in October 2020, became a smashing hit, Jonathan has been unstoppable. He has been rolling out back-to-back hits. Each of his releases has surpassed the popularity of the last. Currently, Jonathan has rolled up his sleeves for his new passion project, his upcoming untitled album.

His recent success Break-Free, which is also his debut album, was released this year in July. The tracks garnered more than 3.5 million likes on his YouTube channel in less than a month. It turned out to be a life-changing project for Jonathan as he started getting offers from A-list artists across the world. Being an experienced player in the music industry, Jonathan knows where to tread to scale up his career. He has recently revealed that he collaborated with a popular African artist on his upcoming album. This has left his fans waiting with bated breath for its release.

Jonathan, the master of unique cross-genre compositions, is getting ready to enthrall his audience like never before. His music has always been an industry trendsetter. His passion for natural sound is reflected in his compositions that weave two genres against an electrifying backdrop. Jonathan’s unique style sets him apart from his competitors. Now, his upcoming album, which is expected to have a touch of Afrobeats, has left his fans craving for more.

To intensify the hype on the internet that has been created for Jonathan’s next release, he has released a live performance as a teaser to the album. It shows his shadow carrying a guitar. The performance begins with soft Afrobeats in the background and suddenly hits the ear with the sound of breaking glass, one of Jonathan’s signature inclusions. It then follows a faster rhythm that blends rock with jazz. It ends on a subtle hip-hop tune with Jonathan stepping from the dark into the spotlight.

The 30-second teaser is storming the internet. However, Jonathan has maintained his silence on the album title and its release date. So far, nothing more has been said to his fans other than “coming soon.” This time he is even more confident that he will present something unique and exciting to the audience. Jonathan has mentioned in an interview that he will be unveiling the title and release date soon on his social media handles.

While his fans are becoming impatient to hear him once again, Jonathan is working hard to live up to their expectations. He’s left no stone unturned in making it both visually and audibly appealing. He hopes this project will set a new standard for him in the industry.
