So Far So Good

‘So Far So Good’ is the follow-up project to Jimmie Bishop & Zach The Hero’s 2019 debut joint album, ‘The Ark.’

Soulful duo Jimmie Bishop & Zach The Hero, just served up a seven-track masterpiece, delivering some of their best work to date with their most recent release, So Far So Good, whichaudiences are sure to love.

The pair shine effortlessly together on their follow-up album, trading verses throughout the project, making for a mesmerizing “soulful trap” sound that is evident their composing and production come from a place of heart, deep love, and understanding for music. Songs such as “I Want You,” featuring Jordyn Sadé, “So Far So Good/Outro,” and “Sunlight,” show the musicality in their work, almost neo-soul, but circles back to a more gritty Hip-Hop/Trap sound, making for a great listening experience.

“Now, our sound has evolved and become more musical,” Jimmie says. “Still keeping the soulful trap foundation but elevating; more live instruments, incorporating different styles from alternative to R&B, even singing more on songs and boom-bap also, this year and on, people are really going to see what we’re capable of.”

The two have always made music with intention and this project is no different — This project sets the tone for what to expect going forward. So Far So Good centers around the idea of elevation and how far the pair have come as artists. So Far So Good intends to “inspire,” and the intent is for people “to love each other” and “be motivated” by music and by one another.

“For me, what inspired this project is just seeing and realizing how far we’ve come with this music s***,” Zach The Hero says. “I tell everyone in every interview that we came from recording in Garageband in a very hot garage, with no experience whatsoever. I had never rapped before in my entire life, and I wasn’t even making beats or engineering either.”

Jimmie Bishop & Zach The Hero also acknowledged in a recent interview that music has given them so many opportunities to elevate themselves and the people around them, which helps them value life and music more.

And that is where the theme of the album comes from, the idea of “elevation” being the focal point. And that is the perfect analogy for the duo as they are gearing up for a dope 2022.
