A young woman with a big voice, Jade Latrice is expressing herself through a brilliant R&B sound. Growing up shy, Latrice has used singing to build her voice and express her thoughts. Most recently she has put out a single titled “Make It Home” to share her views on moving forward after a relationship.
Growing up as a singer at heart, Latrice has always been in love with music. It was influences like her mother and the music around her that led Latrice to find her unique style and sound as an artist.
Latrice has one main goal while creating her music, to relate to teenagers who are experiencing the world in the same ways as her. “Make It Home” specifically is geared towards those who can relate to experiencing uncertainty when moving on after a relationship.
“Make It Home” is a song about Latrice and who she is as well as the impact of past relationships on her future. “It’s about going back and forth, like debating whether or not they want to move forward with whoever they’re talking to,” Latrice said. “And you had something in the past that went bad and then you get scared about if it will happen again.” Her experience has helped to develop this track. It is something that many can relate to and connect to in one way or another.
“It’s about following your gut,” Latrice said.
This song is about the experience of young love, something that may be particularly relevant to teenagers, but can be connected to by almost everyone. As part of her platform, the song helps to promote self care and understanding. “My main message through my music is to express your feelings, promote self care and remind people that it is okay to feel the way that you feel.” Latrice has an honest and beautiful message and an incredible story to tell.
Alongside the release of “Make It Home”, Latrice has a contributing visual to be released before the end of 2021. The video showcases scenes of her hometown, as well as clips that add a great deal to the story. She will also be releasing another single in February 2022 titled “Somebody To Somebody”.
