A man with the goal of relating to his audiences, J3 The Rap Vigilante is an artist that people can get behind. One of J3’s biggest aspirations as a musician is to propel and grow the Hip Hop industry and his latest track “Who Want It” allows him to do just that.
J3 began making music when he was in the 10th grade. “Music has always been a part of my life. My friend who now goes by Ave Da Mafia – he’s actually featured on my latest project – was the one who told me that I should try to start rapping. I always had a pretty good ear for music, so I think that it was always really there. It was bound to happen.”
Much of J3’s influence comes from artists like Jay-Z. “I feel like his music was always very true to himself. He was never trying to be anybody else. He was always making music the best way he knew how and I’m sure he didn’t know he was going to become as big as he is. I feel like,
through looking at his journey, it’s really easy to see that being true to yourself is the key to success.”
Similar to his inspiration, J3 defines his own music as being real, true and relatable. This can be easily seen in his single “Who Want It” The track, which was produced by his brother, came together naturally. “My brother made the track, and I just listened to it and the song and the lyrics just came to me. We mapped it out and the whole song just came together really naturally.” “Who Want It” is the debut single of J3’s project “Nocturnal II” which was released in August of 2020.
J3 hopes to continue to make music that inspires people and influences them. “I feel like people can relate to what I’m saying and I would like to continue to do that. Along with that, it’s important for me to continue to propel the culture of Hip Hop forward. My goal is to challenge people with my music.”
Be sure to keep up with J3 as he is planning to put out a collection of new music including visuals for “Nocturnal II” and his next project “Nocturnal III”. “Once things start to pick back up and Covid comes to an end, you can expect me to be out there performing too.”
