After nearly 10 years since his last studio project, Port Arthur Texas Hip Hop artist J-Rich Da Pit is back with his brand new album titled “The Apex Predator”. The album features 16 tracks with collaborating features from Slick Delafonte and King Dre Tha Hitman: Two Artist who also represent Port Arthur Texas. Da Pit took a step back from the microphone back in 2010 to focus on building his brand “Da Pit Productions”. He began filming music videos and working with other artist near and far. In 2014, he and his co-director/producer Omar Sparks won an award at the first annual ZBT( Zydeco, Blues and Trail Ride) Awards in Houston, Texas for Video Director Of The Year. It wasn’t until fall of 2019 when Da Pit stepped back into the booth and began laying down tracks again. As you listen to the first track of “The Apex Predator” it would almost sound as if this album is a soundtrack to a brand new Predator movie, but the name itself shines a light on Da Pit as the top Predator who reigns within the kingdom of Hip Hop. J-Rich Da Pit has always came with reality filled lyrics and an aggressive style that only Da Pit can bring. From the smooth melody of the single “Slab Riders” to the raw, gritty sound of the track titled “Say Hello To The Bad Guy”, hip hop fans will definitely be in for a treat from the 15 year veteran.
