
Lady Matt is becoming a force in Hip-Hop to be reckoned with. Hailing from Ward 3 in Houston, Texas, Lady Matt started taking her career seriously during the start of the 2020 pandemic. “Many artists create an image based on the stage name they’ve chosen to perform under and she is just that, a lady”. States Publicist Lynn Hobson. With the name Matt used as an abbreviation of her first name, Mattricia, she walks all over the competition.
Noticing much loss of life during the pandemic, this Houstonian put the pedal to the metal of her music career and the rest is history. “Tomorrow is not promised”, states Lady Matt. “All I have is now.” Living her best life to the full and until it overflows, is her mission, and she won’t stop until she has reached the top of the Billboard charts.
To date, Lady Matt has performed side by side with the best of NYC’s femcees—as we caught up with her at DJ Freedom’s “Toast To The Queens” Concert which featured the tri state areas hottest up & coming female rappers within the NYC area. “I was honored to have had the opportunity to showcase my talent in front of hundreds of my fans and followers. I am thankful for the opportunity.”
With Harlem as her new home, Lady Matt has unpacked. She plans to stay quite awhile.
