What artists influenced your style?
If we talking this dancehall record, Flourgon was definitely a influence. This was my first time doing a dancehall track n he def helped me get in my bag! Besides that Biggie taught me how to flow, Loaded Lux made me dig deeper wit the PS’n and Nas taught me how to tell stories.
How would you explain your brand?
I Do A Whole Lot Of PS’n #PoeticallySpeaking. From the slang, to the delivery, to the lifestyle, it’s all about dropping gems, the smoothest way possible!
What artist would you like to work with in the future?
I wanna work with Drake, Jhene aiko and Popcaan in the near future just to name a few.
How do you feel about today’s state of music?
I feel like today’s state of music is exactly where it’s supposed to be. There’s always gonna be comparisons to past decades of the impact that state of music has on the culture. I’m just happy to be apart of a culture that proves again n again it isn’t going no where no time soon!
How would you categorize your music? What genre of music do you make?
I try not to put myself in a box! Overall I do a whole lot of PS’n, n the great thing about Poetically Speaking is that poetry lives in many genres. Trap music, R&B, spoken word and reggae are lanes I can tap into when I feel like PS’n!
