Life circumstances are continually subject to change and this journey is what inspires many artists in the music industry. Life provides a subject that is relatable and real; two traits most hope their music displays. Meridian, Mississippi native $tackz is building his career with the mission to create music that is “real and [makes people] feel something,” he states in an interview. After beginning music at the young age of 10 with the support of his brother, he has taken it to new levels and continues to take steps forward. $tackz hopes that achievements such as performing at the New Orleans House of Blues in front of thousands and working with top-known producers such as DJ XO will be just the beginning in a long list of accomplishments to come.
Most recently, $tackz released the music video for his song “Pop My Sh*t.” It is a collaboration with DJ XO and is available on YouTube now. Additionally, $tackz disclosed the nature of his next project that will be called “The Come Up 2.” It will feature the likes of Kirko Bangz, Enzo Mcfly, and DJ XO. Motivated by recent life events, $tackz talks about coming back from a year in prison and what it took to maintain his family simultaneously. His five kids play a crucial and valuable role in his life. Also, the project will speak to the journey of “coming from nothing.” “The Come Up 2” is set to release on October 5th.
